Works with

Your firm's memory, inside Cursor

Cursor can read your codebase. It cannot read the decision that shaped it — the paper that argued for the approach, the constraint a client imposed, the thing that was tried in 2023 and abandoned for a reason nobody wrote in a comment. Nemosyne connects that record over MCP.

How the connection works.

  1. Create your organisation and connect the sources where the reasoning actually lives — the document store, the tracker, the threads.
  2. Add the MCP endpoint to Cursor and sign in through OAuth as yourself.
  3. Ask why something is the way it is, and get an answer that names the document rather than guessing from the code.

What it is good for here.

Decisions
What was resolved, by whom, and on what stated rationale — from the minutes rather than from a commit message.
Precedent
The earlier cases that resemble this one, with what happened next.
Constraints
Commitments made to a client or a regulator that the repository has no way to know about.
Contradiction
Where two records disagree, both stay attached — so a stale design note does not quietly become the answer.

What the connection does not do.

It does not widen anyone's access: it hands back cited passages from the firm's documentary record, and the permissions on everything it read stay as they are.

Questions this raises.

Is this a code index?
No. It does not read your repository; it reads documents, records and threads. If your reasoning lives in a design document or a ticket, it can read that; if it only lives in the code, this is the wrong tool.
Does it write anything back?
Attributed writes are a tool an agent can call, and they land in the memory as statements with the person who made them attached. Nothing is written back into a source system.
Can I connect it alongside other MCP servers?
Yes. It is an ordinary MCP server and does not care what else is connected.

Connect the agent you already use.

Free for three people and about a hundred documents. No card, no expiry.
